Working Groups
Working Groups in the NWCCODN have been selected through discussions with professionals and inline with the national and local priorities. The working groups are specific areas of focus, including projects that are designed to achieve particular goals and objectives within the network. Each working group is led by a dedicated team or individual responsible for overseeing and implementing the initiatives within that area. Working Groups help ensure that various aspects of paediatric cancer care are addressed comprehensively and efficiently.
The suggested working groups for the NWCCODN are:
Data & Digital
Overview of the Data & Digital Working Group
The aim of the data and digital working group is to support the collection and analysis of clear, high quality data in relation to children’s cancer across the North West. The group will be responsible for ensuring that the Network can provide the required evidence and data to national and regional partners to demonstrate the current status for children’s cancer across the North West. The group will also be responsible for ensuring that digital platforms work effectively to enable data sharing where necessary and appropriate to support safe, effective care. The working group will feed into the Network Oversight Group, providing regular highlight reports and will work to an agreed workplan with clear aims and objectives in relation to data and digital matters.

Equitable, High Quality Care
Overview of the Equitable, High Quality Care Working Group
The aim of the equitable high quality care working group is to support the delivery of and development of safe effective cancer care closer to home where appropriate for children with cancer across the North West. The working group will feed into the Network Oversight Group, providing regular highlight reports and will work to an agreed workplan with clear aims and objectives in relation to the delivery of safe effective care of children with cancer.

Patient & Family Experience
Overview of the Patient & Family Working Group
The aim of the Patient & Family experience working group is to ensure that the voice of children with cancer is central to the work that the network undertakes across the region. The group will be responsible for ensuring that there is effective representation on all of our working groups and for the development of a patient and family experience group to support co development and design of the work programme for the network and also for regular collection and analysis of patient experiences across the region. The working group will feed into the Network Oversight Group, providing regular highlight reports and will work to an agreed workplan with clear aims and objectives in relation to patient experience.

Workforce & Education
Overview of the Workforce & Education Working Group
The aim of the Workforce and education working group is to provide assurance that all Workforce, Education and Training arrangements across the region for professionals working with children with cancer are appropriately designed and resourced and operate effectively to ensure the provision of high quality and safe healthcare and services and that requisite standards are met. The working group will feed into the Network Oversight Group, providing regular highlight reports and will work to an agreed workplan with clear aims and objectives in relation to workforce and education matters. The group will support the development of an annual conference and other regular education events.
