CCLG Supportive Care Education Day

CCLG’s Next Supportive Care Education Day will be held in person on Tuesday 6 February 2024 at Birmingham Childrens Hospital Education Centre, Birmingham, B4 6NH   

Everyone with an interest in supportive care in paediatric oncology is very welcome to join us, so please encourage all members of your team to attend. The day will feature a varied and engaging programme from international expert multidisciplinary speakers presenting new developments and research. 

Sessions will include: 

• I’m so tired! Clinical Practice Guidelines on the management of fatigue in children and adolescents with cancer (Professor Lillian Sung, SickKids, Toronto) 
• The importance of diet in the prevention of obesity in children diagnosed with ALL (Dr Raquel Revuelta Iniesta, Lecturer in Nutrition, University of Exeter) 
• Can I go to the zoo? Evidence-based lifestyle restrictions in children with cancer (Professor Wim Tissing, Princess Maxima Centre, Netherlands) 
• The FORTEe study: Clinical interventions and technology solutions for exercise rehabilitation among paediatric oncology patients (Hayley Marriott, Oxford Brookes, University) 
• Research and Quality Improvement abstract presentations 
• Plus updates on infections, nausea and vomiting and mucositis
